The Tinker & Do Academy was founded in 20015 as part of HI FusionED, originally providing in-person enrichment courses at Hawai’i preschools and elementary schools.  The courses were developed by an electrical engineer and mom who was surprised at the lack of robotics and engineering opportunities for early learners.

In 2020, synchronous virtual classes were launched to serve students from preschool through 5th grade in project-based coding, robotics and renewable energy learning while preserving the engaging, interactive learn-through-play approach to not only learn concepts, but to actually develop and practice critical 21st century skills.
